Bio

Linda Gruber, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and doula.  She has a strong belief in the inherent wisdom of the body, trusting that it can heal itself when gently brought into balance. In addition to acupuncture and herbs, Linda uses Emotion Freedom Technique (EFT) and Jin Shin Jyutsu – a hands on healing technique, to enhance her client’s health and inspire them on their health and healing journey.  Linda’s extensive study in shamanism, spirituality and art therapy have honed her intuitive skills.

Linda treats a variety of conditions in her practice, primarily focusing on women’s health, including fertility, pregnancy and postpartum.  Her passion for working with women who are pregnant or on a journey to have children started even before she became an acupuncturist.  She originally thought about becoming an OBGYN and attended Colombia University as a pre-med major.  While that didn’t turn out to be her path, she found an intimate way to work with pregnant women and new moms using Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Linda has attended and performed acupuncture at many births in the Bay Area as well as serving as a volunteer at the Bali birthing clinic Bumi Sehat.  The wealth of experience and knowledge that Linda gleaned from these experiences is an invaluable resource for understanding the needs of her pregnant and birthing clients.

Linda graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 1998 with a Masters of Science in Chinese Medicine.  She also has a Master of Arts in Expressive Therapy from Lesley College. Linda is a member of the Norcal Fertility Group.
