A Whirlwind

Sorry I have been out of touch.  It has been quite a whirlwind here.  We wake at 6am and walk up the 300 stairs to the KORA….the walk way around the Dalai Lamas temple.  This temple is really the heart of this village of McLeod Ganj.  As we walk the Kora that is filled with Tibetean prayer flags and stones and prayer wheels and Monks chanting and walking we see the way life functions here.  It is really a beautiful site to see.

Then at 9:30 we do Qi Gong and at 10 our class begins and goes till 1.  We eat lunch and walk the 300 stairs again and go to clinic…which is in a play room at the local school where they have put 12 wooden tables with a piece of foam on top as our work tables.  The clinic was intended for women and children, however we have had lots of men come in  wanting to be treated…so we are essentially treating everyone.  We have a gropu of translators who have been working with us…quite an interesting experience.  We are learning to work with kids using a Japanese technique called Shoni Shin that does not use needles.  The kids have done really well with the treatments.  And everyone is so amazingly grateful!
